Anzegem is looking for rental properties for Ukrainians

At present, about 60 Ukrainians reside in the municipality, including in the former rectory, with host families or in a youth residence. But Anzegem wants a more structural solution. At the same time, they also receive signals from host families.

Davy Demets, Alderman for Care and Welfare: “It is true that for people who stay with host families, it sometimes becomes a bit more difficult. Many people were tried with their arms open to receive Ukrainian families. But because everything is taking a little longer now than foreseen, it might be useful if we have some rental housing to accommodate those people, so that they can live independently.”
