The trade cooperation ANWR Group eG expands its full-time board to a quartet. On Monday, the Mainhausen-based group said that Tobias Eichmeier had been appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) by the Supervisory Board. The 46-year-old will take up the newly created board position on November 1 and then “gradually assume responsibility for the retail segments in the group of companies,” according to a statement
Eichmeier will also remain managing director of the subsidiary ANWR Schuh GmbH together with Helmut Wies, the company said. The purchasing expert took over the post on May 1, 2020 after various management roles at Sportscheck and Globetrotter.
Supervisory Board Chairman Holger Baierl explained the personnel decision: “The trade is in the middle of a far-reaching transformation process,” he said in a statement. “With the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer, we are strengthening our intention of even more intensive networking of our trading activities within our group.”
The company is very pleased to have found Tobias Eichmeier, “an experienced retail manager for the board who is at home in both the shoe and sports industries,” says Baierl. The designated CCO stands for “a modern interpretation of the cooperative” and has “demonstrated this over the past two years as Managing Director of ANWR Schuh GmbH”.
In his new role, Eichmeier complements the full-time directors Frank Schuffelen, Matthias Grevener and Fritz Terbuyken. Franz Klimesch continues to act as a part-time director.
