ANWR Group promotes Frank Schuffelen to CEO

The trade cooperation ANWR Group eG has promoted a proven manager. The Mainhausen-based company announced on Tuesday that Frank Schuffelen has been CEO since the beginning of the month. Schuffelen had previously been spokesman for the four-man management team. On the Management Board, he is responsible, among other things, for the areas of corporate development, human resources, finance, controlling and corporate communications.

Holger Baierl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ANWR Group, explained the personnel: “Frank Schuffelen has 16 years of experience in management and supervisory board functions, including 11 years in our group of companies,” he explained in a statement. “He has proven his expertise in the management and control of the ANWR group of companies, especially in the past two challenging years of the pandemic. We are pleased to be able to give Frank Schuffelen more responsibility for the management and future development of the ANWR Group eG.”

The group, which includes the Sport 2000 trading association, claims to be “one of the most successful and top-selling trading partnerships in Europe”. Last year it was able to increase its business volume by eleven percent to 19.8 billion euros.
