National soccer player Antonio Rüdiger is about to make his comeback with Spanish record champions Real Madrid after recovering from a thigh injury.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti named the 30-year-old defender in the squad for the home game on Sunday (9:00 p.m.) against Sevilla FC. This emerges from a statement from Royal.
Also in the squad is former world champion Toni Kroos, who announced his return to the German national team last Thursday.
Rüdiger injured his left thigh in the 2-0 win at Getafe FC on February 1st. Initially, those responsible had assumed that the downtime would be short, but a medical examination dampened these hopes.
The central defender was also missing in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 at RB Leipzig on February 13th.
