William and Harry, the two brothers who hardly speak to each other anymore. They also confirmed this on the occasion of the recent Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth, with Harry and Meghan invited to only one event and kept away from the rest of the Royal Family. The new book by Antonio Caprarica analyzes precisely the crisis of their relationship, once apparently indestructible and today undermined by tensions and accusations. But are they really enemies, William and Harry?

I guess this crisis wouldn’t have happened. I believe that the two brothers were so attached to their mother, so attached to the habits they had created together, that they had a truly extraordinary relationship with Diana. I believe that, with the mother alive, perhaps this radical fracture would not have occurred.
And why doesn’t Carlo intervene? Why can’t he be a peacemaker between the two?
It is difficult for Carlo to act as peacemaker when he himself is involved in the breakup, because let’s not forget that actually in Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, one of the main targets was Carlo himself. And I wonder if even there, in this relationship at the difficult time between Carlo and Harry, the tensions of the past, the chatter about true or presumed paternity do not weigh.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth is increasingly tried by her ailments and we must prepare ourselves. We are now in the final phase of her reign.
I don’t dare say we are in the final phase because I can’t imagine England without Elizabeth. I think most living things find it hard to imagine. She has become so much a part of our cultural landscape. London without Elizabeth will never be the same again.
