Antoinette Hertsenberg is still at the top of the NPO mountain, but that will soon change. She is being pushed hard off the television cliff. “One more week of millions digits.”
It must be a bitter pill for Antoinette Hertsenberg: her extremely well-watched program Radar is pushed off the television cliff by the suspended broadcasting bobo Frans Klein. The forced move to the much smaller NPO 2 is imminent and that means that her million scores will soon be a thing of the past.
Another week of top marks
After a few weeks of the World Cup break, her program Radar managed to attract almost 1.4 million viewers (28 percent market share) on NPO 1 yesterday, with the Loden Leeuw nominations. This made Antoinette the big winner of the half past eight slot, something that will soon past tense.
Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp: “Only one more week of millions of figures for Antoinette and then it will be over with those insanely high figures; from January she is forced to move to NPO2. And Antoinette has seen from the declining viewing figures of Anniko’s Opsporing Requested what happens when you suddenly find yourself on NPO 2. She now invariably scores below a million, unfortunately.”
Robinson in the elevator
Immediately after Radar, the antique pots and pans of Tussen Kunst & Kitsch attracted more than 1.4 million viewers (28 percent). The most watched alternative to all this NPO 1 violence was Expedition Robinson with 920 thousand viewers (18 percent) on RTL 4. “It scores slightly higher towards the final,” Tina analyses.
She continues: “Still, I think RTL will broadcast this program again on Sundays next season. The linear figures on Monday were still too low to be able to speak of a monster hit. And that’s a pity for such an AA-A brand.”
Orange winter
The number four in prime time was De Oranjewinter, good for 908 thousand viewers (22 percent) on SBS 6.
Earlier in the evening, Familie Gillis: Massa is Kassa came out at 655 thousand viewers (13 percent), not enough for a place in the top 15. In between these programs, Shownieuws got stuck at 389 thousand viewers (8 percent).
