Anti-Semitic graffiti found in a Santa Fe school

A graffiti on the blackboard of a classroom, which functions as a dark room this election Sunday, generated surprise and indignation among those attending the Alem school, in the Roma neighborhood of the provincial capital of Santa Fe.

After entering to vote, a neighbor noticed the swastika drawn on the blackboard and the legend “turn on the ovens” and quickly notified the polling station authorities who entered the dark room. There, in addition to seeing the blackboard, they noticed that they had taken ballots from one of the presidential candidates being elected in this 2023 runoff.

The message and symbol were erased by school authorities so that the elections could continue.

As a result of this event, Magdalena Gutiérrez, electoral secretary of Santa Fe, told LT10, radio Universidad del Litoral, that a case was initiated after notifying the prosecutor with electoral jurisdiction to investigate the matter.

With the exception of this serious case, the elections are held normally in the province, one of the main ones in the country due to its number of voters. At noon, official information indicated that 35% of the voters had already voted, several points above what the national average indicates.
