A showcase in front of the Tiergarten town hall with an exhibition on the Jewish history of the Moabit hospital was damaged.
It is not yet certain when the incident occurred, a spokesman for the Berlin police said on Sunday. A report was received on Sunday. The police are still investigating the incident.
Apparently a stone was thrown into the display case and possibly burning paper, said Aro Kurp, board member of the “They were neighbors” association. Among other things, a window was destroyed and traces of soot could also be seen.
The exhibition had been on display in the showcase at Mathilde-Jacob-Platz since the beginning of November and was scheduled to run until the end of December.
