American college basketball player Anthony Leal has melted people’s hearts on social media.
The 21-year-old Indiana University player gave his older sister For Lauren a memorable Christmas present, the reception of which was captured on video by Leal’s family.
In the video, Lauren Leal reads aloud the Christmas card her little brother had given her. In the card, Anthony Leal says that his sister has greatly inspired him in his sports career. So the young man had decided to pay off his sister’s student loan.
For a long time, there was a rule in the United States that college athletes could not make money under their own name, i.e. from fan products or through their personal social media channels.
The rule changed in the summer, and some college athletes even became millionaires in no time. Leal decided to use the money he earned to help his sister.
Lauren Leal’s reaction to her brother’s prank was startled.
