Anthony Correia will also be head coach of second divisionist Katwijk next season. His club announced this last night. The former Telstar player has been working in the Bollenstreek since 2020.
Last season, Correia won the championship with Katwijk and currently he and his team are in third place in the league, trailing Quick Boys and HHC Hardenberg.
“We are very satisfied with Anthony, who as a person and as a trainer fits perfectly with our club and our selection,” says technical director Cees Bruinink on the club’s website. “We want to build further with our selection and we think that Anthony is the right head coach who has the guts to also give young players the opportunity. That is why we have already decided at an early stage to renew his current contract.”
Previously, 40-year-old Correia, who also follows the professional football coach course, trained ODIN’59, VV IJmuiden and VVH/Velserbroek.
