Antetokounmpo with NBA career high

Basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has set a career high in the North American professional league NBA.

The 28-year-old scored 55 points in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 123-113 win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, improving his old record by three points. At the same time, the Greek contributed ten rebounds and seven assists to his team’s success.

“I just try to make good decisions, to be aggressive throughout the game. And at the end of the day we try to win games,” said Antetokounmpo: “We play good basketball. We defended really well. And I just try to do everything for the team to get a win.”

With his gala performance, Antetokounmpo continued the recent exceptional performances of other NBA stars. Only on Tuesday night did Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers score 71 points against the Utah Jazz (145:134).

The Lakers icon Kobe Bryant (81), who died in a helicopter crash three years ago, collected more points in January 2006.
