Club President Sabri Gülel stated that they decided to resign due to the problems with the association and foundation. Gülel said, “Antalyaspor A.Ş. has two owners; the foundation and the association. They do not allow us to do our duty properly. That’s why we are going to the general assembly and resigning so that no harm will come to the team.”
It was claimed that coach Nuri Şahin would also resign after President Gülel.
However, Nuri Şahin denied the separation allegations with the words: “I am on my duty. I do not plan to leave Antalyaspor.”
