Anouk Smulders disapproves of Beau van Erven Dorens’ statements: ‘Doesn’t fit’

Anouk Smulders disapproves of the statements Beau van Erven Dorens has made about Yvon Jaspers. According to the Shownieuws expert, it is objectionable that he has called her a pimp.

Beau van Erven Dorens had the laughter on his hand last week when he described Farmer Searches Woman presenter Yvon Jaspers in his own talk show as a pimp. Table guest Marc-Marie Huijbregts, who is close friends with Yvon, was shocked and called the presenter to order. “She is a matchmaker! That’s not a pimp.”

Anouk criticizes Beau

It is according to Anouk Smulders, who became discredited last year because of victim shaming in the Marco Borsato case, it is reprehensible that Beau expresses himself in this way. According to her, it can also be different. “Secure. You can immediately see that in the studio, (…) that there is an immediate reaction from the studio.”

It is good that Beau was immediately reprimanded, says Anouk. “Marc-Marie thinks about it right away, you see all the people sighing and shaking no. Victoria Koblenko said nothing, but her face, of course, spoke volumes. I just don’t think pimp is appropriate.”

‘He is desperate’

Her colleague Ronald Molendijk thinks Beau is desperately looking for viewers. “The candle incident at Today Inside was just absurd and this is just Beau desperately looking for viewers. A year ago Beau scored…”

Anouk: “Yes, but calling Yvonne a pimp…”

Ronald: “Yes, but that’s what Beau does. He simply ensures that he scores headlines the next day, because RTL is just looking for viewers on that time slot. A year and a half or two years ago, almost a million people just watched Jinek or Beau and today it is just 600 thousand viewers.”

“This is what Beau says!”

Beau’s ratings have dropped a lot. Ronald: “That’s why those programs were cutting so hard when something happened at VI. They thought: finally we might have our viewers back. That is what you see happening here.”

Anouk: “I think it’s great that people react at the table and that they don’t think: oh he says it, but I don’t say anything, while they clearly don’t agree with it.”

Ronald: “One is absurdism, the other is simply: I need viewers back. The quality newspapers in the Netherlands should see that, instead of just copying a headline like: ‘This is what Beau says!’ He says that for a reason.”

cause noise

Story boss Guido den Aantrekker: “I know Beau quite well and this is a typical statement for him. You can’t completely accuse Beau of thinking beforehand: I have to say something to cause a stir.”

Ronald: “I’m sure of that. If there’s one person who clearly knows how to make television, it’s Beau. He also just makes sure that he makes such a statement to get a response.”

William Rutten: “I think it’s a pretty harmless joke, sorry. I can’t get too worked up about it.”

Beau responds

Yesterday in his talk show, Beau again talked about Boer Searches Woman and again with Marc-Marie Huijbregts. He didn’t attack Yvon this time, but: “I still find it strange that you put those women in somewhere like: ‘Find it out!'”

When Beau named the ratings of Farmer Searches Woman, Marc-Marie handed out a tease: “Those are nice numbers, aren’t they, Beau?”

Beau laughing: “Yes, really very good.”
