Johan Derksen’s persistent hymn on hit singer Anouk yesterday led to her long -awaited visit to Today Inside. She came there to promote her concert in the Ziggo Dome. “Yes, I have to sell cards. Yes, that’s what it is. Honest,” says the singer. “Yes, it’s on 2 and 4 September.”
F*cking hard
Wilfred Genee tries to dress nicely for Anouk. “It is going very well, but it can be a little better and that is why you are here of course.”
Anouk: “Well, it is not really going so well, because otherwise I would not have been here. I will honestly say: the first show went f*cking hard. I thought: oh, then I have to stop … I do a second one and it stops a kind of. And then I thought: I think I have just been a bit too eager.”
Bad plan
That TV promotion is a bitter necessity, says Anouk. “I had three sold out 5.5 months before I went into the sale. That went very quickly. And then yes, I probably started walking a little next to my shoes, and I thought: dude, I just pluck a few in next year. That was a bad plan. And without a new music.”
Wilfred: “Yes, but after tonight it is arranged.”
Anouk: “They are weekday days: Tuesday and Thursday. That can also be a reason that nobody wants to come. Hahahaha.”

Wilfred invites Anouk at the end to perform more often. “It is already over. Anouk, if it is that it will not work on 2 and 4 September, then you will just come by again and we will just talk about it again.”
Johan enthusiastically: “Come and visit every night until you are full!”
Anouk: “Well, if I had had the money, I would certainly have done it. That is an expensive affair, hey, coming here. You think: Oh, that red carpet is explained, Anouk comes in.”
Wilfred: “Oh, I thought so.”
14 thousand euros
Anouk then says that she pays her VI performance herself, since of course it is a PR performance. “No, we all pay for it ourselves.”
Wilfred: “Do you mean that?”
Anouk: “Yes. It comes from my own bag. Between 12 and 14 thousand at a time I do a TV show.”
Wilfred: “Do you have to pay for it yourself?”
Anouk: “Yes, that comes from my own bag, yes.”

Why Anouk spends up to 14 thousand euros on such a TV performance? That is not complicated. She not only came with her band, but of course also with technology. And that must all be paid. And not only for that evening at VI, but of course also for the rehearsals. And including transport, that all ticks.
