Olympic champion Malaika Mihambo has continued her winning streak in the long jump.
At the FBK Games of track and field athletes in Hengelo, the 28-year-old from LG Kurpfalz got a distance of 6.65 meters. It was the fourth success of the “Sportswoman of the Year” in the World Cup year.
In the first competition of the summer in Birmingham, Mihambo jumped 7.09 meters. Merle Homeier from Göttingen finished fourth with 6.36 meters.
Julian Weber presented himself in great form again in the javelin throw.
The 27-year-old Olympic fourth placed second with a personal best of 89.54 meters behind world champion Anderson Peters (Grenada), who threw 90.75 meters. Mannheim’s Andreas Hoffmann finished fifth with 81.00 meters.
