Another win for Magnus Carlsen at the Champions Chess Tour

World chess champion Magnus Carlsen has also won the second online tournament of the Champions Chess Tour.

The 31-year-old Norwegian initially had to accept an equalizer against his Polish opponent Jan-Krzysztof Duda, but Carlsen won 2-0 in the subsequent play-off with five minutes each.

The tournament ran under the name Charity Cup. Viewers donated more than 120,000 euros for Unicef ​​aid in Ukraine.

The Canadian grandmaster Eric Hansen added his prize money. Originally intended Russian players were uninvited.

Vincent Keymer was also qualified, but he will only take up his qualifying spot in the tournament after next in the series.
