A wildfire started at De Punt tonight. A passerby discovered the fire.
The fire brigade arrived with several units to extinguish the fire. The fire brigade soon had the wildfire under control. It would be a fire of about 10 by 10 meters.
It is the second time in a short time that a fire has raged at De Punt. It happened last month too.
Due to the drought, the soil is bone dry, the Drenthe Safety Region warns. It is expected to rain more in the coming week.
