Another unusual step for former Telstar player Donny van Iperen

Donny van Iperen goes on an adventure in Moldova. The 27-year-old defender who comes from the youth academy of AZ and broke through at Telstar, will play at FC Zimbru. Van Iperen comes over from AE Karaiskakis Artas from Greece.

In Moldova, Van Iperen will play at the number one but one of last season. FC Zimbru, from the capital Chişinu, finished seventh last season.

The central defender from Sint Pancras made his professional football debut with Telstar in 2016. After three seasons as a permanent fixture in Velsen-Zuid, he left for Go Ahead Eagles. In 2020 he settled with AE Karaiskakis Artas.
