Another streaming provider: discovery + starts on June 28th – Warner Bros. share friendly

According to the announcement, discovery+ is already offering an extensive range of exclusive content and in-house productions right from the start in Germany and Austria. For example, it is about “lifestyle, living and eating, true crime, paranormal, adventure, science, technology or the environment”. In live sports, discovery+ has the Tour de France or tennis Grand Slam tournaments to offer. discovery+ will initially be available in two versions: an ad-free version costs EUR 5.99 per month. Customers who accept advertising pay EUR 3.99 per month.

In Germany, Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+, as well as the public media libraries, have already been fighting for viewers. Most recently, Paramount+ announced its market entry on Monday.

Warner Bros. Discovery shares temporarily gained 0.18 percent on the NASDAQ to $14.06.
