After Serval Petoenia took off in IJburg barely a month ago, Serval Tora is now missing in Zaandam. Owner Gregor Wrucinski is distraught. ‘He is like a child to us’

Wrucinski and his wife Magdalena, together with a colleague, have been searching all day for their beloved Tora: a two-year-old tiger cat. On Sunday, December 11, Tora escaped from the couple’s house early in the morning. “He is loose in our house and probably opened the door himself. It’s a big cat and can reach the door handle,” says the desperate owner.

Not an aggressive cat

The serval is tame towards the couple, but afraid of strange faces. Wrucinski therefore recommends contacting him immediately if anyone sees the animal. The Zaandammer hopes that this will happen soon: the originally African feline cannot withstand the cold winter weather. “And an operation for his castration is scheduled,” he explains.

Anyone who sees Torah should certainly not be afraid. “There’s no aggression in him, he’s a really sweet cat,” explains Tora’s owner. “We miss him very much and my wife cries all day. He’s like a child to us.” Should the numb Serval walk in somewhere, Wrucinski asks to close the door and contact him.

If you see the cat in the area of Zaandam-Zuid or Amsterdam Sloterdijk, you can reach Gregor Wrucinski on 06-44103686.
