The list of dead prominent Russians has grown a bit longer. Anatoly Gerashchenko died on Wednesday at the age of 72 after falling down a staircase in Moscow. Gerashchenko headed the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in Moscow for many years. The state university of aviation technology has ties to the Russian Defense Ministry and has confirmed the death. Foreign media note that this is the umpteenth unexpected death of a high-ranking Russian since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
