Another member of the German Olympic team has tested positive for the corona virus.
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) announced that it had been informed of the case on Tuesday afternoon. The test was taken upon arrival at Beijing Airport.
The team member was “free of symptoms and was initially separated from the rest of the team”. Another PCR test will be carried out for confirmation. Depending on the result, the DOSB wants to determine the further procedure.
“The sub-team and Team D are in close contact with the team member,” said the umbrella organization.
So far, figure skater Nolan Seegert and Nordic combined athletes Eric Frenzel and Terence Weber have had to be quarantined after positive tests.
