The apps of technology giant Meta seem to be experiencing problems once again. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp would be difficult or impossible to reach. Meta confirms to HLN that there are problems.

On Downdetector, people can report that they are experiencing problems with certain apps. On Friday evening, about 12,000 people did so in connection with Facebook. About 6,000 did the same for Instagram, with another 1,300 notifications for WhatsApp. That is more than usual.
“We are aware that people are having trouble reaching our products,” Meta spokesperson Andy Stone told our editors by email. “We are working to resolve everything as soon as possible and apologize for any issues.”
In recent years, Mark Zuckerberg’s company has had some long-term breakdowns in which various apps were not usable.
