Another lawyer arrested for helping Taghi in EBI Vught

The police have again arrested a lawyer for Ridouan Taghi. On Friday, Rotterdam lawyer Inez Weski was arrested for passing on information from the EBI. This would appear from deciphered messages from a secure telephone.

This reports the Telegraph based on sources close to the investigation. Weski is locked in after her arrest and is being interrogated.

Weski’s arrest took place after an investigation into her role in the passing on of information by Taghi from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) to the outside world. The suspicion is that Weski acted as a conduit, writes De Telegraaf.

Earlier, De Telegraaf received tips that Weski’s office colleagues sometimes passed on messages unauthorized. That would be done through the lawyers’ line, which should not be tapped. For example, a young office colleague would put her phone on speaker when Taghi called from the EBI, allowing family members to participate in the conversation.

Youssef Taghi
Earlier, Youssef Taghi, the former lawyer and cousin of Ridouan Taghi, was arrested and convicted for helping the top criminal escape from the EBI in Vught. The court in Amsterdam imposed a prison sentence of 5.5 years on him.

Youssef’s counsel mr. Andre Seebregts suggested during the court case that his client was not the only one who acted as a conduit. He was referring to Taghi’s lawyer Weski.
