An explosion took place in the Amazonenstraat in Amsterdam-Zuid around 10 p.m. this evening. It concerned an explosive at the front door of a home, the police said.
After the explosion, a small fire broke out, which also alerted several fire engines. In addition, an agent from the Explosives and Safety Team (TEV) will investigate and see whether the situation is safe.
An ambulance was also called, but it is unclear whether anyone was actually injured. It seems that no one needs to go to the hospital.
