Education even published the first rectification, but withdrew it because one of the four Infant and Primary lists contained errors

The list was published again after a few hours, but without one of the bodies, which will be rectified this Friday along with the secondary school awards.

A new error delayed this Thursday the awarding of the destination of the teachers for the course that comes in Valencia. At least from them. The Ministry published yesterday at 9:00 p.m. the lists of career officials, stabilized interims, and personnel who have the year of internship pending. However, a few hours later these lists had to be withdrawn due to a failure; they had not included the positions of professionals who work with students with special needs (Hearing and Language and Therapeutic Pedagogy).

This is an error that affects few personnel, but which forced the removal of all the lists and launching new ones, without this fourth body, hours later. Education assures that it will publish the correction of errors this Friday, along with that of the secondary body, FP and other teachings. This is an unprecedented situation since almost 15,000 teachers are unclear about their destination less than 15 days before the start of the school year.

The body of teachers was, a priori, the least affected by errors, that is why Education wanted to solve it in the first place. The rulings are concentrated in secondary school teachers, 14,500 in total, and the final lists for this sector are expected to be published this Friday, according to Ministry sources.

Statements by Sonia Sancho, General Director of Teaching Personnel, regarding errors in awards |

The Minister of Education, José Antonio Rovira, toassured a group of teachers gathered yesterday at the doors of the Ministry that they had finished the primary part and “we are already preparing the secondary part.” Rovira also thanked “the employees of the house who worked on a holiday” for their work. Finally, the minister criticized that the previous government “did not prepare the process.” Thus, a place was awarded to one in three teachers for the coming academic year. In total, the Ministry of Education has offered 21,800 places this year: 7,300 for primary, infant and special education teachers and 14,500 for secondary, FP, EOI and adult schools teachers. One of the worst is that of the FP teachers, where two out of three people have been left out, because an error in the computer application has created two lists.

Duplicate lists

The deputy general director of teaching staff, José PascualHe affirmed that this duplicity in the lists has also been an error when introducing the new criteria in the computer program, and that it will be corrected to give each teacher the place that corresponds to him. Pascual explained that “work is being done so that the awards come out by groups (secondary, FP, Language Schools) instead of by specialties.”

One of the worst is that of FP teachers, where two out of three people have been left out, because an error in the computer application has created two lists and has left the requirements of the majority uncounted. The deputy general director of teaching staff, José Pascual, has affirmed that this duplication in the lists has also been an error when introducing the new criteria in the computer program, and that it will be corrected to give each teacher the place that corresponds to him. Pascual explained that “work is being done so that the awards come out by groups (secondary, FP, Language Schools) instead of by specialties.

Rovira has criticized that “the parties that made up the Botánic delayed the process after the elections as long as possible”, which has left them, in his opinion, little room for maneuver since he has not been “not even a month as a minister”. He has also explained that they are collaborating with the unions, which transmit possible errors, to solve the entire process.

scuffle between political groups

There are no precedents for awards so late, just 15 days after September 1, cWhen the teachers should already be in their destination centers, a collapse that has caused clashes between the Government and the opposition. The lists first came out the first week of August, but Education published them several times with failures due to “bugs with the program.”

Last Tuesday, August 14, teachers and unions gathered at the door of Ministry of Education to claim a solution to the problem. The unions demanded to repeat the entire award again, but the new general director of teaching staff, Sonia Sancho, promised that instead they would publish the final corrected lists before the end of the week, as it has been.

The PSPV demanded yesterday the appearance of Minister José Antonio Rovira in Las Cortes to explain the traffic jam produced this year. Compromís denies that it is a computer error, and attributes it to the fact that the new minister replaced the technical positions that were in charge of the process “too quickly” and that the new professionals hired by the ministry have not been able to manage the awards for the start of the course .

The spokesperson for Education of the Popular Party in Las Cortes, Beatriz Gascó, For its part, it launched an accusation against Compromís (which managed Education) in which it asked them to confirm that the computer program used for the awards was sufficiently updated and prepared to deal with this year’s lists.
