Hundreds of pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered on Dam Square in Amsterdam this afternoon. Speeches are given on a stage. It is the third larger meeting on Dam Square this week.
The demonstration started around 1 p.m. The demonstrators want, among other things a final ceasefire and want the Dutch government to call for this. There is now a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas, but it appears it will only last a few days. Thousands have already died.
Several trams are being diverted due to the demonstration. Earlier this week, hundreds of people gathered for a different reason; express their concern about the election results, in which the PVV became the largest party in the Netherlands.
