Beijing (dpa) – At the Winter Games in China there is another corona case in the German Olympic team, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) announced.
The association initially did not provide information about who it was. The test was taken upon arrival at Beijing airport on Tuesday. According to the DOSB, the team member is symptom-free and has been separated from the rest of the team. As usual, a second PCR test is now carried out to confirm the result.
So far, three German athletes have tested positive for the corona virus at the games. The Berlin figure skater Nolan Seegert was found to have the virus upon entry, so he missed the team competition. The two combined athletes Eric Frenzel and Terence Weber will also not be at the start in the first competition on Wednesday.
