It’s not the first time this place has gone wrong. A month ago, a car drove into the water at the same spot. In October last year, 26-year-old Sanne and Hebe (10) who accompanied her also got off the road and died. They were found two days later after a massive search.
On October 17, Sanne was on her way from Raamsdonksveer to Hebe’s parental home in Vught as a supervisor of Hebe with multiple disabilities. They never arrived there and were reported missing. Two days later, tire tracks led to the ditch at the Empel junction, where the car with the two victims was found.
