Annoying breakdown at the start of the tour in London

For the 19,000 fans who were able to see Madonna at the premiere of her world tour in London on October 14th, it seemed to have been a successful evening. Nevertheless, the singer is probably annoyed that everything didn’t go according to plan at the start of the tour.

The start of the show has already been loud “Picture” postponed by almost 20 minutes – so the show didn’t start until 8:49 p.m. – but that wasn’t a problem since the audience was well entertained by Bob The Drag Queen. However, shortly after the successful start with “Nothing Really Matters”, a song that fans had not heard live since 1999, technical problems arose. As Madonna told the audience, the entire system had to be restarted. However, instead of going backstage and sitting out the ten-minute break, the artist stayed on stage for her fans.

Madonna remembers her beginnings

“That’s exactly what you don’t want at a premiere,” she explained, then spontaneously grabbed a beer. Madonna used the awkward interruption to tell the audience some stories from her past. The stage was modeled on New York – this is where the artist’s career began. And so she talked about the years 1978 to 1983, when she was not yet internationally successful and the singer was also struggling with financial problems. She admitted on stage: “I dated men just because they had showers and bathrooms. That’s the truth.”

The Celebrations Tour – four concerts planned in Germany

Madonna will perform “The Celebrations Tour” a total of 78 times worldwide in the coming months. The bombastically produced show also stops in Cologne and Berlin. It had already been announced in advance that it would be the largest stage Madonna has ever toured with. 200 crew members, including 25 people in the cloakroom, ensure everything runs smoothly.
