What is LINDA.?

LINDA. was founded in September 2003. The magazine was developed by magazine maker Rozemarijn de Witte. She came up with a concept that was somewhere in the middle between traditional women’s magazines and special interest magazines around fashion and beauty. Linda de Mol was approached to give the magazine a name. There was never a celebrity magazine in the Netherlands before. LINDA. was launched as a monthly magazine and was later expanded with a news site, a video platform, various extensions, a festival, products and an online magazine with premium content. LINDA. is one of the largest women’s magazines in the Netherlands and Linda.nl one of the largest online magazines.

When is LINDA. set up?

The first LINDA. was published in September 2003. The magazine was published by Mood for Magazines, a publisher from Naarden. The launch of LINDA. was accompanied by a major marketing campaign and Linda de Mol herself also played an active role in the promotion of her magazine. The launch was a great success. The first edition sold out in no time and was reprinted. A year after its founding, in 2004, LINDA. elected ‘Magazine of the Year’ and received a Mercur for this.

Who is the publisher of LINDA.?

LINDA. was part of the Mood for Magazines publishing house at the time of its launch. Mood for Magazines was also founded in 2003 by Rozemarijn de Witte. Who is the editor-in-chief of LINDA.?

Linda de Mol is the editor-in-chief of LINDA. She shares this function with others. Until 2006, Rozemarijn de Witte headed the editorial staff as a magazine editor.

What is L’HOMO.?

L’HOMO. is a magazine founded in April 2009 by the makers of LINDA. The glossy initially focused on a target group of gay men. The editors chose Arie Boomsma as the model for the first issue. That caused a lot of controversy because Boomsma was known as a presenter for his Christian faith. He was fired from the EO following the cover. The cover photos with French kissing Jan Versteeg and Thijs Römer (both straight men) were also controversial. Since 2019, L’HOMO. will also focus on the entire LGBTQI+ community. L’HOMO. was issued once a year. The editor-in-chief of L’HOMO. was Iebele van der Meulen. In 2021 L’HOMO announced. to stop publishing the magazine for the time being because the number of readers had declined sharply in the previous years.

What is LINDA.meiden?

The first LINDA.meiden was published in July 2012. The core target group of LINDA.meiden is between 18 and 28 years old. LINDA.Meiden focuses on readers who feel at home with LINDA’s tone of voice and visual language, but who does not always recognize themselves in topics such as parenting or divorce. The idea arose from the demand of young readers. Yara Michels has been the editor-in-chief of LINDA.meiden since 2017, Michels ensured an increase in circulation at a time when young people are reading less and less. LINDA.meiden was named Cross Media Brand of the Year 2019 at the Cross Media Awards 2019.

The last LINDA.mode and LINDA.wonen editions were created in the spring of 2019. At the end of 2019, the editors came up with a new concept: LINDA.loves. This special replaced LINDA.mode and LINDA.wonen. The glossy is a lifestyle guide from the makers of LINDA. Packed with people, fashion, stuff, addresses, tips, tricks and tables. LINDA.loves is also about having, keeping, doing and getting rid of. Produced under the editorship of Linda de Mol and Karin Swerink.

What is LINDA.nl?

What does LINDA bring. anything else on the market?

The makers of LINDA. don’t sit still. They also make custom magazines for other brands, such as for HEMA (the 3rd time this fall) and a fashion magazine for Bol.com. Always in the recognizable look & feel of LINDA. LINDA. also has its own products on the market. As part of LINDA.loves, a collection of home accessories was launched in March 2021, which was sold exclusively at Albert Heijn. There are also ssex toys for sale via the LINDA.nl shop. LINDA. launched its own specialty beer together with Grolsch in April 2023, which was for sale in a limited edition. This specialty beer (blonde!) was a fun promotion to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

How did LINDA come. in the news?
