Anni Vuohijoki talked about ending her career

Anni Vuohijoki’s racing career ends in April.

Anni Vuohijoki34, says he will end his competitive career for the European weightlifting championships on April 18.

– My goal is to get back on the medal stand, finish without pain and remember the sport as it was at its best, the lifter writes in his blog.

– For the first time in a long time, I have focus, motivation and enthusiasm for what I’m doing. I’m on schedule. I enjoy training and for a long time it feels good that I’m doing this for the last time and I’m doing it just for myself. I don’t owe anyone anything.

Vuohijoki plans to participate in three more competitions in the spring: the World Championship on February 25–26, the German Bundesliga on March 11. and to the European Championships in Armenia on April 18.

In December, Suomalaistahtih participated in the World Weightlifting Championships and finished 13th. However, he was not in full health at the time. He has been suffering from back problems recently.

Vuohijoki also aimed for the Paris Olympics in 2024, but the weight classes defined for the Games did not suit him in the end, so he decided to give up on the Olympics.
