The indie pop band will be giving a concert in their hometown on September 9th. Here’s all the information.

Without question, AnnenMayKantereit is now considered the figurehead of German indie pop. Their album ES IS EVENING AND WE ARE SITTING WITH YOU, released at the beginning of 2023, reached number two in the Austrian and Swiss charts, while it even made it to number one in Germany. Of course, the accompanying tour for the LP shouldn’t be missed.

The quartet only played in Berlin in August and brought the Wuhlheide open-air stage to life with songs like “Pocahontas”. On Friday (September 9th) there is a home game for AnnenMayKantereit, as the band is performing in Cologne. It will be the first time that they even play in the Rheinenergie Stadium football arena there. We have all the information for you here.

Entry on Friday (September 9th) begins at 5 p.m. The opening band Friedberg will perform at around 7 p.m. AnnenMayKantereit will be on stage from around 8:30 p.m. The show is scheduled to end at 10:30 p.m.

getting there

The address of the RheinEnergie Stadium is Aachener Straße 999, 50933 Cologne. The easiest way to reach the stadium is by public transport, via KVB line 1. The stop is “RheinEnergie-Stadion”.

If you are traveling by car, it is best to take the motorway ring via Kreuz Köln West (A1/A4). On the A1 the exits are “Köln Bocklemünd”, “Köln Lövenich” and “Köln Weiden/Frechen”. There are numerous parking spaces available around the stadium.

Weather

Hot 30 degrees and sunshine are expected for Friday September 9th. So don’t forget the sunscreen and drink enough water. At night the temperatures drop to 16 degrees.
