Anneke Dijkstra from Heerenveen became district time trial champion of the KNWU district North in Oostwold on Wednesday evening.
The 26-year-old rider of GT Krush Rebellease defeated the Dutch champion elite women without a contract Manon de Boer (Leeuwarden) and SD Worx pro Lonneke Uneken (Veendam) on the course of more than 17 kilometers.
The district championship North was for the first time over three games, namely Annen, Zwinderen and Oostwold. The best two results counted for the ranking. Dijkstra also won in Annen. De Boer and Uneken only drove in Oostwold and did not count for the ranking. The bronze for the women was for Larissa Drysdale from Heerenveen.
Guillaume Visser from Heerenveen became district champion in the elite men. He already won the first two time trials and dropped the race against the clock in Oostwold. Michiel Kok, also from Heerenveen, won in Oostwold and took silver.
