The US functional fiber specialist PrimaLoft, Inc. has appointed Anne Cavassa as the company’s new CEO, after serving as President of PrimaLoft since November 2023. The appointment is “an acceleration of the planned transition to the next phase of company management,” it said in a statement. Her predecessor, Mike Joyce, will move to the role of vice chairman on the company’s board after more than a decade as president and CEO. Joyce founded the company in 2012 and has since expanded it into one of the largest brand manufacturers of synthetic insulation.
“Our company goal is to create a balance between people, products and the planet,” says Mike Joyce. “Anne Cavassa embodies these beliefs and brings extensive leadership experience from renowned active lifestyle brands. This is an ideal opportunity to appoint a proven leader to a position that will take PrimaLoft to the next level. For me she was the clear choice.”
Cavassa brings nearly three decades of experience in leadership roles at well-known outdoor and active lifestyle brands. Most recently, she was president at running specialist Saucony, and before that senior vice president and chief customer experience officer at Brooks Sports Inc. Previous positions include leadership positions at Timberland, Nike, Reebok, Tommy Bahama and Eddie Bauer.
“As an ingredient brand, PrimaLoft has immense potential to impact positive change in our industry, and I look forward to working with our entire team to further realize this potential,” said Cavassa. “I will do my best to lead PrimaLoft into the next phase of growth, building on the brand’s history of innovation, performance and sustainability as we strengthen our connection with our customers and consumers.”
