«Hor seen her kissing him/ kissing her, kissing me/ Mon amour, amour, who are you kissing?/ I’m going to make a killing tonight / I dance among the globe lamps / You and I like her.”

Who among you isn’t humming the song this summer you definitely have consecrated the singer Annalisa on the Italian pop scene?

The song, which sees herself and her ex-boyfriend Davide Simonetta (in addition to the son of Biagio Antonacci and Marianna Morandi) among the authors, has that much catchy to allow it to climb the charts, going viral.

But the danceable tune is not enough to build a success with millions of streams. AND the text, which alludes to a liaison à trois, to have given the song that transgressive aura that freed Annalisa from the image of icy before the class, making her a diva.

Sanremo 2018, Annalisa: «Now I like myself as I am»

The model is a bit like what has been working for another interpreter for a few years: Elodie. In fact, Annalisa’s look has also changed: in the video of the song she appears with a Valentina-style bob, perched on heels and platforms, and with breathtaking shorts.

The key phrase of the song seems to be that liberating “You and I like her”. But let’s stop for a moment and rewind the thread of memories. It was 1978 and another songthis time by Oscar Prudente and Ivano Fossati, conquers the public and consecrates a divine: Patty Pravo.

Although ten years have passed since the sexual revolution, the text, which alludes to a threesome sexual fantasy that arises in the mind of a woman, caused a sensation. A desired effect: the song was written precisely for a woman to sing it, Loredana Bertè. The only concession to the respectable, the phrase: “It could be a need for love” which cloaked the homosexual desire of the nobility of a feeling. Otherwise, the text was a bomb.

45 years later Annalisa tries again: “You and I like her” is the wonderful thought. But at the end of the video the other woman appears as a corpse in the pool, victim of the protagonist. But she had said it: “I will make a massacre tonight”. Other than ménage à trois and sexual freedom. Here we are in full drama of jealousy.
