Ankie Broekers-Knol scout for the Noord-Holland coalition

Ankie Broekers-Knol will be a scout for the coalition in North Holland. The BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB), which has become the largest party, nominated her as a scout this morning. She will talk to all parties in the coming period to investigate which coalition is possible.

“In Ankie Broekers-Knol, we have an explorer with extensive experience in public administration in whom we have complete confidence,” said BBB party leader Ingrid de Sain.

The 76-year-old Broekers-Knol was chairman of the Senate from 2013 to 2019. Subsequently, she was State Secretary for Justice and Security.

The election results for the Provincial Council are not yet final, for example, the final votes from Amsterdam are still being awaited. So far, BBB is at the top with 15.2 percent of the vote, followed by the VVD with 13.1 percent.
