Anita Witzier adds some fuel to the fire in the discussion about the seven-hour slot of NPO 1. She actually also likes Eva Jinek at Khalid & Sophie’s current time.
The grapes are sour in the editorial office of Khalid Kasem and Sophie Hilbrand. Tonight they start perhaps their last season ever, because everything indicates that Eva Jinek will take over from them next September with a daily program on the famous DWDD slot: every evening at 7 p.m. on NPO 1.
Anita supports Eva
Anita Witzier (61), presenter for KRO-NCRV, thinks it is very good that AvroTros has brought 45-year-old Eva into its home. “Yes I understand. She may be able to make a different kind of program now and the 7 p.m. time is still open. I have no idea about the agreements,” she says in the Weekend.
While Khalid and Sophie are in complete commotion because their position is not certain, Anita casually shouts that she also sees Eva in their time slot. “I also think that Eva is more of the public broadcaster than commercial – in the journalistic sense of the word.”
‘Eva can do anything’
Eva is more journalistic than all those other characters on the late evening of RTL 4, Anita thinks. “If you look at the talk shows of Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan: there is a lot of entertainment in them. Eva can do everything, including making everyone feel at ease, but above all she is very much a journalist.”
‘It’s the same with Twan Huys, who previously embarked on a commercial adventure at RTL 4,’ says Anita. “It is good for the image of the public broadcaster and I also hope that she can use more of her talents here.”

Isn’t Anita extremely relieved that Eva is not going to work at her KRO-NCRV, but at AvroTros? “No, Eva and I are not in each other’s way at all. I am very pleased that she is returning to public broadcasting.”
It is striking that Anita expresses her support for Eva, because she occasionally appears as a sidekick in Khalid & Sophie. It is unclear whether she has also been invited for next season. She previously received a lot of criticism for her performances in the talk show. According to a notorious media critic, she would ask very stupid questions.
