Loulou

Cat Loulou is a feisty, feisty Frisian lady of twelve years old. Paul and Laurien Jochem brought her as a kitten from a farm in Friesland to the big city. “In Zoetermeer we are her main servants who provide her with food, drinks and sweets at fixed times of the day. But if the lady takes a little too long, she will simply come and ask you until she gets her way,” Laurien writes.

Loulou also likes to go outside for a walk around the neighborhood. She blows something at others of her kind and raises her high back. After a good cleaning, it’s time for an afternoon nap on the couch, or comfortably, on a notebook or on the keyboard. She doesn’t want to lie on your lap, but she is happy to hand out a cup every now and then. “We are very happy with her and love her quirkiness and sophistication. That’s why she deserves a place in the neighborhood.”
