Animal Collective: “Time Skiffs” (Review & Stream)

The four musicians from Animal Collective met at a Waldorf school in Baltimore when they were eight or nine years old – and apparently they still can’t let go of each other, even though the band has been a bit scarce lately. The songs from “Time Skiffs” sound sweeter than ever. Melodies and vocals are based on the Beach Boys as usual, but digital-psychedelic sounds and arrangements make the pieces unique.

Rudolf Steiner also had good sides

Avey Tare directed the great video for “Walker” (a tribute to Scott, who died in 2019) with his sister Abigail Portner. It’s amazing how much enthusiasm and inventiveness Animal Collective still show after more than twenty years! So Rudolf Steiner also had good sides.
