The paramedics were at the puddle for a report of an injured seagull. But upon arrival, they discovered the rabbits, whose young are barely four weeks old.
In their Facebook message, the Animal Ambulance Utrecht addresses the person who dumped the rabbits: “Can you still look at yourself in the mirror? Do you have any idea what stress is causing your mother and her offspring? We are glad that we were able to find her quite shortly after your action. These little ones would never have survived otherwise!”
The 13 rabbits have been well taken care of. “But that is because of us. Not your cowardly act!”, said the animal ambulance.
