The approximately 400 tractors that have been blocking the E411 and E42 at the Daussoulx junction near Namur since Sunday afternoon will not leave there before Monday morning. This was reported by the Secretary General of the agricultural organization Fédération des Jeunes Agriculteurs (FJA).

The blockade is emanating from the French-speaking organization for young farmers. Those present expect concrete answers from the Walloon and federal governments before they want to leave the highway. Walloon Minister of Agriculture Willy Borsus (MR) is expected on site around 8 p.m. A delegation from FJA is currently being received by its federal counterpart David Clarinval (MR), the agricultural organization said.

“We will stay here at least until tomorrow morning, the same in Halle,” said Guillaume Van Binst of FJA. “If the politicians really agree with us, we may leave the locations more quickly, but nothing has been decided at the moment.”

Tractors are currently on their way to Halle, south of Brussels, from various directions in Wallonia, especially Hainaut. They want to block the E19 there.
