And she has another goal: not to get overwhelmed by negative events. “I try to be optimistic because good things happen. The problem is to grasp them, because they are the ones that save you».

How does it feel after returning to reality? «Bewildered, but it is a disorientation in which I would navigate for a long time. It’s a happy disorientation, not a sad one. Everything I see amazes me, as if I were a little girl discovering objects».

Was she aware of being appreciated by the public? «From the evening onwards I had no perception of what was happening outside. I kind of expected it because, during the episodes, the audience was present and I felt it a lot. This thing drove me crazy. Now being stopped on the street by someone is strange, but so gratifying».

“No, I didn’t know I was the favourite. I felt she would win. I told him just before, during the commercial: Now go, win and enjoy it. He is very good, if he deserves it and it was right to do so ».

Maria De Filippi praised her for not carrying on her surname (Angelina is the daughter of the singer Mango, who died in 2014, and Laura Valente). Did her surname make you want to prove more?
«No, because I would have done it with another surname too. In the end, what matters is what I do on stage and I can call myself anything. And then I had other things to think about. There was so much to do, that I found it useless to linger there, to talk, to put things in between that had nothing to do with it».

Did your mother give you any advice?
“I remember calling her after crying for three days. She told me: allow it. This is the best advice she gave me, she made me realize that I was doing a great thing. Why cross yourself just because you’re giving in for a moment? Enjoy it, cry, feel bad. Allow it!».

During the final, she thanked her boyfriend, Antonio Cirigliano, with whom she collaborates. Was it important to receive her support as well?
«Absolutely yes, he gave me the charge. She is the person who supports me the most and with whom I share the most things both on a professional and personal level. Staying away is difficult, but communicating through music is what we’ve always done and we’ve done it in recent months too. It gives me peace of mind.”

His coach was Lorella Cuccarini. What is the greatest teaching that she has passed on to you?
“It’s really perfect. Every time I looked at her, during the episodes, I was dazzled. And I’m not talking about beauty. I’m talking about elegance, the way she manages to explain things, without going up and down with emotions. She’s always very calm, clear-headed and that gets through to people. And then she has immense professionalism and maybe that’s why she’s so perfect ».

In the press conference he said that Will to live it is his first happy piece. What gave you the strength to change your approach to things?
«I was amazed at how I experienced reality in there (ad Friends, ed), because I thought I would have much more problems. Instead, I lived it in a positive way. And this is the way I want to live my work. Presenting a record is a giant opportunity. I am happy”.

In 2022 he sang at the May Day Concert. Would you like to go back next year, after having made an intermediate stop at the Sanremo 2024 Festival?
“Who can tell? I do not know. Right now I live day by day. Thinking about next year makes me dizzy. No one can exclude anything. I love antlers and seek them out. You never know.”
