Marcel van Roosmalen did not get the chance at Today Inside on Friday and that is why he is now doing it in his weekend podcast: pelting Angela de Jong. “Utterly conservative butter letter!”
For reasons that are unclear, Marcel van Roosmalen has an obsession with Angela de Jong. Every few days he lashes out at the opinion diva somewhere in a column or in his podcast. The exact reason behind this is unclear, but it goes on and on. However, his attempt to bash her Friday night in Today Inside failed.
“What kind of woman is that?”
When Marcel started talking about Angela in that talk show, René van der Gijp immediately stepped into the breach for her and bounced the ball back. He states that the opinion diva of the AD does not take himself nearly as seriously as Marcel’s buddy Gijs Groenteman, who is angry because he is called ‘Gijs Groenteboer’ by VI.
A very awkward TV fight ensued, and as a result, Marcel missed the opportunity to let loose on Angela. Fortunately, he can now take revenge in the weekend edition from his podcast Another Day. “What kind of woman is that, Marcel? How do we interpret her?” Gijs asks him.
Butter letter
Marcel sighs heavily and then goes old-fashioned hard on Angela. “An ultra-conservative butter letter. That is it. It is someone who expresses her ideas…”
Gijs: “It’s straight out of the 50s, isn’t it?”
Marcel: “Yes, exactly. She has the mixer in one hand and the remote control in the other. She has a kind of morality that she wants to sprinkle on everyone who is in the media on TV. She is also a huge fan of Even Tot Hier. That’s the cutest thing she’s ever, ever seen in her life!”
Unbutton corset
That adoration of Even Tot Hier is starting to make Marcel hang his throat. “She doesn’t laugh at anything, that person, but if Niels van der Laan or Jeroen Woe come into the picture, then it is unbuttoning the corset and…”
Gijs: “Surely that must be a dubious honor for those guys? They are nice guys, I know them, you can’t say a bad word about them, but to be put in the air by Angela de Jong… Then you have to ask yourself: are we doing it all right? Are we on the right track with the two of us?”
Critical ability
Marcel thinks more negatively about Niels or Jeroen now that they are being praised by Angela. “Yes, and that is of course something… Then I think: then I am glad that we are not as far along as they are, because they have completely pushed aside that critical capacity. I think they are really happy with each other and take Angela de Jong into the bargain.”
Gijs: “Don’t you think that the two of them occasionally sit in a room with their guitars, and that the song just won’t come and they talk to each other for a while and say: ‘How is it possible? be that Angela de Jong likes us so much? What did we do wrong? Shouldn’t we take a different course?’”
Marcel: “Yes, like: shouldn’t we just flaring her completely with the two of us?”
Cracks in friendship
Maybe Angela will lead to a break between the Even Tot Hier duo, according to Marcel. “Perhaps you can also blame her for the first cracks in that friendship. That one says to the other: ‘It’s because of you!’”
Gijs: “Yes, van: you really are Angela’s favourite.”
Marcel: “Yes, like: you are her hand puppet, I just stand there with my guitar, but she likes you and it also radiates to me. It can’t stay cozy between those two.”
