Angela de Jong has been struck down by the corona virus for the first time after two and a half years. To keep her distance from her family, her dinner table looks like Putin’s at night, she says in her podcast.

She has now been locked up in the house for over a week: Angela de Jong. “Since last weekend, the coronavirus has finally got hold of me after two and a half years. I was completely shocked when that test became positive, because we all have a really bad cold at home and everyone was continuously negative and still, also at the GGD, only mothers are positive.”

Just like Putin

How does Angela experience the virus? Is she very sick? “That’s not too bad. Cold and in the throat and two days terribly shivering in the sense that I was very cold all day, but I just kept working and I keep one and a half meters from my family and that is doable. It really affects my voice and my throat.”

How does she keep distance from her family? For example at dinner? “We’re just sitting at the dining table. A long dining table, so there is one and a half meters in between.”

When asked if she sits at the table like Vladimir Putin, who always sits at a great distance from his interlocutors, she says: “Something like that.”

Sent home

Is Angela leaving home again this week? “Yes of course. Despite the fact that I still have a sore throat, I can go outside again during the week, because then the ten days will be over and according to the GGD I will no longer be contagious.”

Finally: will she file a report against Linda de Mol after her kind of indirect death wish? No. “I really think that’s such a small beer. I really don’t care at all.”
