Speed skater Ane Farstad doesn’t earn anything from sports, but she has another way to earn a living.

Speed skater Ane Farstad23, told told For the Norwegian tv2 channel a harsh fact about the species.
However, Farstad loves skating, so he has had to find other ways to get money. It has been found through social media.
Farstad has over 250,000 followers on Instagram. There are over 140,000 fans on TikTok. He knows how to use social media skillfully.
– I think it’s funny. It gives me energy and motivation. It has also offered opportunities that I wouldn’t have otherwise, Farstad says.
Thanks to the large number of followers, he has been able to join the clothing business. Farstad has developed the clothing brand Caspara together with his brother Odin’s and his mother Kristin’s with.
– It has been really fun and educational to start your own clothing brand. I’m just surprised at how long things take.
Of course, Farstad advertises her clothing brand on social media, but the woman also brings out as much as possible, because she fears that the sport will die in Norway.
– It doesn’t get as much attention as it used to, and I feel like there are a lot of people who don’t know which TV channel the games are on, Farstad laments.

“Very wrong”
The sprinter is by no means the only athlete who has invented the possibilities of social media. For example, ex-skater, current cyclist, Alexandra Ianculescu sharing bold pictures of herself on Only Fans to help fund her Olympic dream.
Farstad also presents her trained body on Instagram, but the woman is not excited by the idea that she would make an account purely on her appearance.
– I think it’s really wrong. The goal is not to sell your own body to get money. When I post a video of a skating outfit, of course I use my body in it. But it’s on ice, and I’ve been training all my life to get a muscular body, Farstad says.
However, the woman also shares pictures where she shows off her body outside the ice. Still, Farstad bucks the trend of making money with looks.
– I think it’s sad that people feel that it’s the right way if you want to make money. There are many other ways to earn, says Farstad.
According to the woman, her goal is to be as good a skater as possible. Farstad says that he founded the clothing brand in order to be able to continue elite sports.
In his career, Farstad has won European Championship bronze in the team sprint, World Championship bronze in the junior team sprint and gold in the mixed relay at the Youth Olympics.
