According to a media report, the late soccer world champion Andreas Brehme was buried in Munich on Tuesday afternoon. As “Bild” wrote, many prominent companions of the former professional, such as Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann and Uli Hoeneß, came to the memorial service.
Brehme died of cardiac arrest on February 20 at the age of 63. The greatest success of his career was winning the 1990 World Cup in Italy, where he scored the winning goal from a penalty in the final against Argentina.
