André van Duin takes revenge. A week after the frugal start of De Grote Kleine Treinen Competition, he still overtakes direct competitor Rob Kemps. “Still, it is striking that he does not reach the million.”
The second season of the André van Duin show De Grote Kleine Treinen Competition can be seen not on Wednesday, but on Saturday evening. While the first series of episodes attracted an average of 1.2 million viewers, the second series started last week with a cautious 875 thousand viewers (18 percent market share).
André’s revenge
Although André is regarded as a viewing figure, he did not even beat the smaller competitor SBS 6 with this score. That channel managed to entertain 949 thousand viewers (20 percent) with the Rob Kemps show Ik Hou Van Holland. But what about a week later?
André takes revenge: yesterday he did beat Rob. While André’s train show attracted 939 thousand viewers (20 percent), Rob’s hysterical show dropped to 848 thousand viewers (18 percent). “Good news for André van Duin”, audience analyst Tina Nijkamp calls it.
‘Still striking’
According to Tina, it remains striking that De Grote Kleine Treinen Competition now suddenly hangs among the million viewers. “It is striking that the program again does not have a million viewers and that it scored much better on Wednesday. Do I still think it’s crazy, maybe a new season on the tube too soon? Within six months, that is.”
Also at half past nine, NPO 1 and SBS 6 exchanged pennies: yesterday, Matthijs Goes managed to entertain slightly more viewers with 914 thousand viewers (21 percent) than De Alleskunner VIPS, which amounted to 783 thousand viewers (18 percent).
Lego Masters disappoints
The number three on prime time is not RTL 4, but NPO 2. With Dwars door België, this station attracted 719 thousand viewers (15 percent) and 514 thousand viewers (12 percent) with Nieuwsuur.
RTL 4 again disappoints heavily with Lego Masters, which this time saw 564 thousand people (12 percent). FriendsLottery Millionaires subsequently attracted 671 thousand viewers (17 percent).
