It has caused a shock wave in the showbiz world: André van Duin has filed a report for blackmail. Many people think it’s crazy because the comedian has never been involved in any controversy. Even Yvonne Coldeweijer doesn’t know what it’s all about, although she rules out the hamster issue.

To story

Eva Jinek had André sitting at her talk show table last night to talk about his new TV program. She asked him to start with the much-discussed blackmail case. “Yes, a bad story, yes. Also an annoying situation and I hope it will be resolved soon,” said the comedian in the live broadcast of Jinek.

The presenter of Heel Holland Bakt continues: “The Public Prosecution Service is busy with it and I hear good reports about it, but I am not allowed to say much about it, so I will just leave it as it is. We will wait and see, but we are hopeful that it will work out.”

Next week

Just like the rest of the Netherlands, Eva also wonders what it is all about. “You can’t say where it comes from?”

André: “No, they say: ‘Don’t do it. Don’t start now.’ Everyone asks me, but I better not do it, they say.”

Eva: “Does the Public Prosecution Service say how soon you can disclose something more about it?”

André: “As soon as possible. When that is… We hope maybe next week. I don’t know.”

‘Of course I want!’

Eva: “I think you would like that, right?”

André: “Of course, of course. It could have happened. It is very annoying to be in such a situation, but I must say: I get a lot of support. There are a lot of people who send me messages and apps. I am very grateful for that.”

No violence

Fellow guest Steven Brunswijk: “No violence or anything, right?”

André: “Violence? Oh, I violence? No no no no.”

Steven: “Blackmailing for violence.”

André: “No, no.”

Steven: “Okay, luckily. It’s not good anyway, but…”

All in all, André is doing well given the circumstances: “I do have a lot of things to do, so I have a lot of distractions.”
