André Hazes Jr. spares his mother Rachel in the inheritance issue, because she has power over his stage name. According to Yvonne Coldeweijer, she can force him to call himself ‘junior’ again.
Although Roxeanne Hazes has clearly demonstrated that mother Rachel is a fake heir – she was in divorce with him during the death of André Hazes – André Jr. does not yet join the lawsuit on this inheritance issue. That is strange, because millions are at stake and André Jr. also has a problem with his mother.
Andrew junior
What is going on here? According to Yvonne Coldeweijer, who graduated cum laude in hazology, there is one important thing: his stage name. André Jr. carries the stage name André Hazes and not André Hazes Jr., as most people still call him. He absolutely hates the addition ‘junior’.
André jr. thinks that not his father, but he is entitled to the name ‘André Hazes’, so without an abbreviation after it. And that while his father is a legendary folk singer and André jr. is best known because he trudges from rehab to rehab and stumbles across Monique Westenberg somewhere along the way.
Hate Dad?
Where has the respect for his father gone? Hans Kraay jr., for example, has always continued to call himself ‘junior’, out of respect for his deceased father. “André Hazes jr. himself took jr. off, while I had left it as a tribute to his father who has achieved so much,” Wilfred Genee once said.
The respect for his deceased father is not very high with André, as Beau showed last week: “When people say: ‘André Hazes is the best folk singer who has always lived and that will never come again’, then you feel addressed, because you do your best, you know? And that hurts. You almost hate your father by saying things like that.”
Rachel has power
It is clear that André jr. does not want to be in his father’s shadow at all costs, because he himself has all shine wants to get his hands on and apparently struggles with his father’s legendary status. André jr. therefore never wants to go back to the abbreviation ‘junior’. One small problem: according to Yvonne Coldeweijer, he is not about that at all.
She writes on her juice channel: “Since Rachel still has all the trademark rights of André Hazes (senior) and André junior no longer wants to be called junior, but has literally hijacked his father’s brand, permission from Rachel is of course always required. That is now tolerated and André now pays 0 euros for it.”
Back to Junior
If he turns against Rachel and she continues to be responsible for André’s legacy, then André Jr. is the loser, says Yvonne. “If he quarreled with his mother and joined Rox in the inheritance case, this could just change… and André junior may not want to risk that.”
What does Yvonne actually think of André’s performance at Beau? “Not seen. Find him even more annoying now than in the time with Sarasoul. Actually, in that period it was not too bad compared to this ‘I am now better and bigger than before’ behavior.”
